Skeeter The Circus Clown Entertains Kids At Becker Community Center

Skeeter the circus clown was on hand to entertain a large group of youngsters at the Becker Community Center Tuesday morning.

Kids from the Community Center’s Adventure Zone youth and area day care programs watched excitedly as Skeeter performed tricks, played instruments and taught them about the circus.

Skeeter introduced the captivated audience to her friend Macaroni, a peacock feather that she proceeded to balance first on her hand, then on her finger, chin and nose. To the delight of the crowd, she invited two volunteers up front for a lesson on how to perform the balancing act themselves. They proved so adept she rewarded them both with two free tickets to the upcoming circus.

Ten children from the audience also received free tickets for answering questions about Skeeter’s show.

Skeeter is a member of the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus. Her performance was a preview of the main show, which will be held under the Big Top at the Becker Community Center grounds July 27. The circus will have performances at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with advance tickets available at the Community Center for $10 adults and $7 children ages 2 to 12.
