Sheriff’s Office Hosting Youth Firearm Safety Class

Sherburne County is hosting a Minnesota DNR Youth Firearms Safety Certification class.
 
The class will be Fri., Mar. 30, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office Range and Training Center, 13880 Business Center Drive, Elk River.
 
Enter through Door J. This class is the “Field Day” for students who have completed the 8-10 hour Hunter Course at: https://www.huntercourse.com/usa/minnesota/
 
The student must be 11 years old before March 30 to be able to participate in the class. A parent or guardian must attend the first 30 minutes of the Field Day.
 
Students must bring the following to class: Field Day voucher, copy of birth certificate, sack lunch, blaze orange article of clothing (i.e. hat, cap or vest), survival kit in small bag/backpack (info on survival kit is with the online course)
 
Dress for the weather! Firearms used for testing will be provided; do not bring any firearms to training.
