The time has come for this once-a-year event as the Sherburne County Fair kicked off Thursday morning. Beginning at 8am kids presented their animals to be judged in the goat show, horse show and sheep show.
They have been practicing all year to show their animals, working hard to grow vegetables and making displays for the 4H exhibits with the hopes of winning a blue ribbon and having the chance to make it to the State Fair.
Kayli Hulbert from Big Lake has showed horses at the county fair for many years and has even showed her horses at the state fair. Kayli is a senior helper in 4H and is a great role model for the younger kids as she teaches and mentors them.
In the 4-H building Josh Koles was showing all the Legos that he has been collecting for five years. With over 15,000 Legos his display was amazing! Josh said that he once worked at the Lego store and that’s how his love of building Legos began.
