Becker Scout Troop 92B spent the morning at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Chanhassen Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021.
Each year the Troop serves at FMSC, taking time to understand better the issues of hunger and food scarcity around the world. It is a great team effort to band together and prepare nutritious meals for so many.
This year, as the picture shows, the Troop helped pack 82 boxes of food, for a total of 17,712 meals. The food packed is enough to feed 49 children for an entire year!
Scouts take an oath that states:
“On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”
Scouts are working and serving within the community during these hard times to help others and make a positive difference.
