4H is an amazing organization for kids and adults to learn great things and serve our community.
The 4H club Refuge Rangers raised over $800 in tips bagging groceries at the Monticello Cub Foods. They plan on using the money for scholarships, club activities and area volunteer projects. They want to thank all the people who gave a tip and talked with them.
Volunteer projects they enjoy are raking people’s yards in the fall and the roadside clean up in the spring. They also do social events together such as going to pumpkin patches and having picnics at the park.
Their next social event is roller skating and blading at Thunder Blades Roller Rink in Princeton at 1 p.m. on March 2. Their monthly club meeting is to follow at 4:15 p.m. located inside Getaway Bar and Grill in Orrock. The club meets the first Sunday of every month and is growing in members who come from Becker, Big Lake, Elk River, Clearwater and surrounding areas.
“4H is fun because you get to express your creativity,” Kanable said. “(You) learn about and show animals and explore topics of interest to help ourselves and our community grow. We would love for you to join us and learn more about the opportunities 4H has to offer!”
