FAREWELL. Preschool kids at the Red Balloon in Becker held a going away party for one of their favorites on Thursday, April 17. Zachary Hurd, a 2013 graduate of Becker High School, was sworn in to the U.S. Air Force on Tue., April 22, and left that same day for basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX, according to his mother, Joy Hurd. After that, he will report to computer programmer school in Biloxi, MS. Hurd had worked with the children at the Red Balloon for the past two and one-half years.
