Last week Clearwater’s Tri-County Church (TCA) shared the true meaning of the Christmas season with their annual Drive-Up Live Nativity and Children’s Christmas program.
The message began on Wednesday night as TCA’s Bible Adventure Club youth presented their Christmas program, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, to family and congregant members. Along with singing traditional Christmas songs and playing bells, the poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas was read, interspersed with a mouse’s version, leading to the retelling of the real story of the night before Christmas – Bethlehem and Jesus’ birth.
On Sunday night, TCA and Monticello’s Change of Heart Church once again teamed up to present their annual Drive-Up Live Nativity.
The event brings the nativity to life for attendees, this year featuring Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, and three shepherds. Adding to the atmosphere, live animals were housed in the stable with the holy family.
Attendants directed guests to park their vehicles facing the wooden stable at the edge of TCA’s parking lot. Attendees then had the choice of remaining in their cars and tuning in to the event on their radios or gathering outside to watch.
Along with a trumpet solo and everyone joining in Christmas songs, Pastor David Hibbison of Change of Heart Church and TCA Pastor Dave Fogal spoke to the crowd, with Pastor Fogal taking the crowd on the Nativity journey through Bible passage readings.
TCA’s Live Nativity was recorded for those unable to join in person. To view, visit their Facebook page at Facebook.com/TCAchurchMN.
