Prom 2015 Held In ‘Enchanted Forest’

Just over 300 students and guests took part in the Grand March last Saturday afternoon in the Becker High School gymnasium as Prom 2015 was celebrated around the theme of the “Enchanted Forest.”  Trees both alive and faux were arranged around the lighted runway, while ribbons and bunting descended from the ceiling to suggest an exotic grotto.

BHS Assistant Principal Mark Kolbinger served as the Master of Ceremonies, introducing each couple or individual as they made their way through the forest setting to the lighted viewing platforms, where photo opportunities abounded for family and friends located around the perimeter.

When the march was concluded, the tuxedoed and ball-gowned participants took their leave to attend on their individual posh dinners before returning to dance the night away at the Pebble Creek Golf Club until the 11 p.m. witching hour, after which several families hosted after parties.

Once again, the weather smiled on the BHS Prom, with the Friday cold wind and rain giving way to bright sunshine and moderating temperatures on Saturday afternoon, allowing the lovely dresses and complex hair arrangements to arrive indoors dry and untrammeled.
