Perfect Day For Vintage Tractors

After a week of uncertain weather, last Saturday morning provided blue skies and bright sunshine for the annual Vintage Tractor Run. The 2014 event included a drive from the starting point at the Becker Baptist Church to the Pine Cone Manor in Zimmerman, where drivers displayed their tractors and answered questions from the residents about the history of the machines.

The field included several green John Deere machines, some bright red Farmalls, an orange-yellow Minneapolis Moline, a dark green Oliver, a rare silver-gray White with enclosed cab, a restored red Rockol model “B”, a light gray Ford and what appeared to be a tractor variant of a vintage Ford Model T.

The trip also included a lunch stop and a visit to a farm to view some antique equipment, organizers said.
