During their meeting Monday night, the Palmer Twp. Board of Supervisors reviewed two resident requests, although there were no representatives from either party in attendance.
The first request was for a river setback on 90th Ave. for Shirley and James Bromenschenkel. The couple requested an 18’ setback variance for a 16’ x 28’ addition onto the east side of their garage, which is a nonconforming structure.
A motion carried to provide favorable comments to the county, however, the township is requesting the addition be added onto the west side of the building, not the east as planned.
The second request reviewed was for a preliminary and final simple plat for Jenson Oaks; 5.8 acres are being split from the original 80 acres for a house.
Although the matter appeared to be pretty straightforward, the board indicated they did have questions. With no one available to discuss, a motion was made to table the issue until a representative was in attendance at a future meeting.
The board discussed potholes that need to still be filled throughout the township. Ditching has been completed and the culvert on 90th has been installed.
The township hasn’t yet received any bids for the 154th Street and Cedar Point project; bid letting had been scheduled for that evening.
