The public is invited and encouraged to attend an open house that will provide information about the future of Minnesota Hwy. 25.
The Hwy. 25 area study public open house will be Tues., Feb. 13 from 5-7 p.m. in the Mississippi room at the Monticello Community Center, 505 Walnut St.
The open house will be an informal meeting with information on display for review by the public and interested persons. No formal presentation will be conducted. Open house attendees will have an opportunity to provide input on the information provided. That input will help shape the planning considerations for the Hwy. 25 area.
The purpose of the study is to identify near- and long-term improvements that address transportation issues on Hwy. 25 between Interstate 94 and Hwy. 10, and facilitate future community growth in Sherburne and Wright counties.
Additional study goals include:
• Gain consensus on locally recommended improvements with coalition members and public.
• Develop an implementation plan that prioritizes projects and identifies potential funding sources and avenues to secure these funds.
• Further refine future vision into smaller, manageable and deliverable projects.
