The winters in the Becker Middle School Winter Olympics concluded on the final day of the Sochi Games last month included the following:  6th Grade: Ms. Meyer’s homeroom class, representing Jamacia.  7th Grade: Ms. Watkins Jumpstart class, representing Puerto Rico.  Eighth Grade: Mr. Andersons block one class, representing Nepal.  Students vote on which nation they would like to represent in the Games, and do research on their “adopted” nation as they prepare to take part in the school games.  The school hosts a similar program each year in which the Olympic Games are held, according to Principal Nancy Helmer.
