Mrs. Claus was on hand to lend her baking expertise during the Becker Community Center’s annual Cooking with Mrs. Claus event last Saturday.
An excited group of girls and boys gathered at the center for the chance to meet Mrs. Claus and learn how to make and decorate delicious treats for the holiday.
This year’s specialties were snowman on a stick and pretzel caramel candies.
Before the fun started, each child was given a new elf name to be known as for the day, which ranged from Jingles Figgybum to Twinkle Hollyfrost.
Mrs. Claus and her BCC assistants mingled with the kids, giving advice and lending a hand when needed. Each child made enough treats to be able to bring some home to share with family and friends.
Before the kids left, Mrs. Claus had also shared with them the secret of how to guide Santa and his sleigh of reindeer to their homes on Christmas Eve.
