MnDOT held an open house Wednesday at the community center to explain and answer questions about the upcoming road improvement project fro Hwy. 10.
Attendees were be able to learn about the project’s construction details, planned traffic changes and schedule and view large layouts of the project, speak with project staff, get questions answered and take home project information.
The open house format was informal and attendees were allowed to arrive and leave at any time.
The project will reconstruct eastbound Hwy. 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake using full-depth reclamation. They will also install a new Reduced Conflict Intersection at the Hwy. 10/Co. Rd. 23 intersection in Becker and extend turn lanes, repair underground pipes and other drainage infrastructure, and improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
The project’s first lane closures will begin in May, and be completed in late-October 2018.
When complete, the project will provide a smoother ride with a long-life pavement along 14 miles of eastbound Hwy. 10, enhance traffic flow and safety at the Hwy. 10/Co. Rd. 23 intersection, improve drainage along the corridor, and enhance pedestrian accessibility.
