The Big Eagle Lake Improvement Association (BELIA) had a great turnout for voting for their favorite parade ‘floats’ from the annual 4th of July Parade. 

“Thank you to the 11 boats that came out for the fun and to the 133 people who voted for their favorites,” said  BELIA Secretary Lori Andreen. 

Congratulations to the Grimm/Nerisons (Malibu Minions) for winning both the Most Creative and Most Comical categories, and to the Andersons (Eagle’s Nest) for winning Most Patriotic. 

The Nerisons have now won two years in a row and will keep the Traveling Trophy for another year. 

All contestants will be awarded the ‘Flights’ of Pulled Pork just before BELIA’s ‘Smokin’ Pulled Pork Cook-Off’ August 9 at Lupulin Brewing in Big Lake. 

“It promises to be another excellent event,” said Andreen. “More information to follow!”
