As of July 11, Mike has recorded 1,209.28 miles and 59,462 steps.

 

On Sat., July 9, Mike was able to meet up with some friends of his that used to live in Becker and have since moved to the Sparks, NV area. 

 

“I was able to talk with Chris and Brenda on Friday night and we set to meet on Saturday,” Mike said. “They met up with me, treated me to lunch and ice cream and then even came out and hiked for a few hours. It was so great to see familiar faces and talk with people face-to-face that I know.”

 

Mike said he is really getting excited about some of the Relay For Life events coming up next weekend, especially his Mike+You=Cure Team and the other 10 teams preparing for the July 22 festivities.

 

“I’m wishing I was there, but I need to finish this journey and keep talking to people about what we do,” he said.   “About how important the relay is and why.”
