Middle School Performs Winter Band, Choir Concerts

 
Becker Middle School eighth graders performed their winter band and choir concerts to a packed house at the Performing Arts Center Thursday night.
 
The evening of music began with the band playing three numbers, The Star Spangled Banner, The Road Unknown and The Legacy of Heroes, conducted by instrumental music teacher Shelly Clemen.
 
Following a brief intermission, the choir took the stage. Conducted by choir teacher Kristi Lovold, the students sang four pieces, Listen to the Winter Wind, The Wide Missouri, In Flanders Field and God Bless America. 
 
Readers during In Flanders Field were Ella Tracy and Bryce Berger, Noelle Kempin played the cello and the ensemble was comprised of Logan Eisele, Ian Burau, Kaden Wilson, Carly Hagberg, Marilyn Smaby, Genesia Weekes, Amelia Aguilar and Amanda Hillyer.
 
During God Bless America, Micah Boyer, Danielle Nuest and Shayla Plaster played percussion, and the ensemble included Ayla Brown, Gabby Artmann, Savannah Merritt, Giulia Ricervato, Ava Nieken, Max Haugen, Ryan Boecker, Christopher Klein and Bryce Berger.
 
The Middle School will be presenting their next choir concert May 16 and their next band concert May 23.
