Michael J Murphy Sr., 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on Tuesday, October 9. He was born February 17, 1946 to John and Dorothy (Erickson) Murphy in Spooner, WI.

 

Michael was very proud of his family, and a strong supporter of his church. He was strong willed, and had a great sense of humor. Mike will be dearly missed.

 

He is preceded in death by; his parents; sister and wife Nancy Ann (Goehring) Murphy.

 

Mike is survived by; loving wife Patricia; five children, Jodi (Peter) Fiske, Shannon (Robert) Kottke, Heidi (Paul) Bennetts, Michael Murphy Jr., John (Misty) Murphy; stepson Brad (Jody) Grams; twelve grandchildren; brother Thomas (Mary) Murphy of Pierre, South Dakota.

 

Memorial service will be held 12 p.m., Sat., Oct. 20, at Four Rivers Fellowship Church in Floodwood, Minnesota. Time to greet friends begins at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at Rich Event Center downtown Floodwood.
