Members and guests of the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce attended their annual Member of the Year event last Thursday at Carousell Works Events Center in Big Lake.
Diane Jacobsen, the Proprietor of Carousell Works hosted the event that featured a heavenly meal prepared and served by Style Catering. Russell’s on the Lake provided the adult beverages.
The highlight of the event was the naming of the 2020 Chamber Member of the Year which turned out to be McPete’s Sports Bar & Lanes. The other nominees in the competition were Lupulin Brewing and Old National Bank.
Many of the chamber members and area businesses donated items for the silent auction. Bottles of beer, wine and spirits were also donated and sold at the event.
Big Lake Chamber Executive Director Gloria Vande Brake introduced many guests and speakers and conducted a 50/50 drawing as well as a heads & tails game.
Monica Parrish of the Chamber read aloud the announcements before the meal and Mayor Paul Knier announced the winner of the Chamber of the Year nominees.
