Waite Park (8/30/23) - Come enjoy a day of garden education with the Sherburne County Master Gardeners! On September 23rd from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Naturalist and Author Stan Tekiela will provide the keynote presentation Wildflowers Color Our Lives. Breakout topics for the remainder of the day including:
• Keeping the Joy in Gardening: A Doctor’s Advice for Safe, Comfortable Gardening by Americo Fraboni, MD
• The Apothecary Garden by Kristina Kjellberg, RN MSN, Avid Gardener & Practicing Nurse
• Gardening in the Anoka Sand Plain by Sue Hix & Renay Leone, Sherburne County Master Gardeners
• Backyard Birds: Welcomed Guests at Our Gardens & Feeders by Stan Tekiela
• The Need for Natives by Lucy Keefe, Assistant Farm Manager, Prairie Restorations, Inc.
• Beekeeping for Beginners by Gregg Hermerding, Avid Apiculturist
