Two young adults are facing charges in connection with an August break-in at Becker High School.
Devin Jacob Maskowski, 21, and Tyler Todd Plaster, 22, both of Becker, were charged with second-degree burglary. A court hearing is scheduled for Nov. 12 in Sherburne County.
Becker police officers responded to an alarm at the high school Aug. 9 at 4:26 a.m. and found multiple people inside.
Officers proceeded to chase the suspects on foot and were assisted by the Sherburne County Sheriff’s office and the Wright County Sheriff’s K-9 unit, but were not able to find them. Officers did, however, recover numerous items that had been taken from inside the school.
There was minimal damage to the school during the burglary and many of the items have been returned.
Through the investigation, Becker officers were able to identify the suspects and were able to obtain statements that have led to the charges being filed in Sherburne County court.
While the investigation is ongoing, Becker police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 763-200-4267.
