Motorists on eastbound Hwy. 10 between Big Lake and Clear Lake may encounter delays as segments of the road are reduced to a single lane during non-rush hours.
The closures are needed while crews clear trees at several locations along the corridor. The work is the first part of a major project that will reconstruct eastbound Hwy. 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake in 2018. Daily lane closures for that project will begin on both directions of Hwy. 10 June 4.
The Hwy. 10 Big Lake to Clear Lake project will reconstruct and resurface eastbound Hwy. 10 between Lakeshore Drive in Big Lake and Hwy. 24 in Clear Lake, install a new Reduced Conflict Intersection at the Hwy. 10/Co. Rd. 23 intersection in Becker, extend turn lanes, repair underground pipes and other drainage infrastructure, and improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
When complete, the project will provide a smoother ride with a long-life pavement along 14 miles of eastbound Hwy. 10, enhance traffic flow and safety at the Hwy. 10/Co. Rd. 23 intersection, improve drainage along the corridor, and enhance pedestrian accessibility.
