Light Agenda At Cw  Twp. July Meeting

Clearwater Twp. had one of its shortest meetings in memory in July.

The entire night’s agenda was done in 30 minutes.

The board heard first from Sandra Fiske, who was asking for approval to adjust her lot line. Her property is situated on Griffith Ave. on a bluff, and in order to access Fish Lake, she was asking approval to shift the lot line 20 feet on the road side and 15 feet on the lake side. Fiske said Brereton, her neighbor, is in agreement with the lot line adjustment. The board recommended approval of the request. Fiske must get final approval from the county.

The 150th Street project is getting started. Supervisor Bill Langenbacher said the contractor began hauling equipment to the site in early July. Work was expected to begin soon after.

The board tabled the review of the Sonja Dahlberg conditional use permit for a dog kennel. Langenbacher said he would like to set up a site visit first. The review is set for the August meeting.

Danielle Lefebvre asked the board to donate the use of township hall for a charity event called Charleigh’s Halos on Aug. 3 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. The organization raises funds to help support families during their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit stay at St. Cloud Hospital. The board approved the request.

In other action, the board approved a liquor license for the Clearwater Lions at the Silver Bullet Saddle Club Rodeo grounds, Aug. 16-18.

The next monthly meeting is Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
