Motorists who travel Hwy. 24 in Clearwater, Clearwater Twp. and Clear Lake will encounter construction crews, equipment and work zones after a project to improve Hwy. 24 between 179th St. in Clearwater and Hwy. 10 in Clear Lake begins Mon., April 30.
Initially, segments of Hwy. 24 in Clearwater and Clear Lake will be intermittently narrowed as shoulders close and lanes shift while crews improve sidewalks, curb and gutter and conduct other off-roadway work.
Beginning in mid-June, segments of Hwy. 24 will be reduced to a single lane overnight while crews resurface the roadway. More information on those overnight lane closures will be issued as details become available.
Hwy.24 motorists in Clearwater, Clearwater Twp. and Clear Lake should slow down when approaching all work zones.
Hwy. 10 Clear Lake to Big Lake project begins in May.
Motorists who travel through Clear Lake should also be aware that both directions of Hwy. 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake will be reduced to a single lane 24 hours per day beginning in July 2018. The closures are needed as part of a major project to reconstruct eastbound Hwy. 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake, install a new Reduced Conflict Intersection at Hwy. 10/Co. Rd. 23, and make other improvements while lanes are closed.
