Hwy. 24 Clearwater To Clear Lake Construction Open House Set For April 4

Clearwater and Clear Lake area businesses and residents are invited to an informational open house to learn about a road construction project that will resurface and improve Hwy. 24 through Clearwater and Clear Lake beginning in spring 2018.

The public open house will be held Wed., April 4, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lions Park Pavilion, 1100 Cty. Rd. 75, in Clearwater.

Open house attendees will be able to learn details about the project including the work to be performed, schedule, traffic plans and more. A project layout will be on display and MnDOT staff will be available to answer questions. No presentation is planned, and guests are invited to arrive any time.

The project begins in April and will resurface four miles of Hwy. 24 between 179th Street and Hwy. 10 in Clear Lake; replace sidewalk along Hwy. 24/Main Street through Clear Lake; upgrade signal systems in Clearwater and add flashing yellow arrows; improve pedestrian accessibility through Clear Lake, and at the Cty. Rd. 75/I-94 interchange in Clearwater; and install or repair sidewalks and pedestrian crossings in Clear Lake.

When complete in September, the project will result in a smoother ride, extend the life of the roadway, and improve traffic flow, safety and accessibility along the Hwy. 24 corridor through Clearwater and Clear Lake.
