Those who travel Hwy. 10 through Sherburne County are encouraged to attend an open house to learn about a major construction project that will improve Hwy. 10 between Big Lake and Clear Lake in 2018.
The public open house will be held Wed., April 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Becker Community Center.
Open house attendees will be able to learn about the project’s construction details, planned traffic changes and schedule, view large layouts of the project, speak with project staff, get questions answered and take home project information.
The project’s first lane closures will begin in May, and be completed in late-October 2018.
The project will reconstruct eastbound Hwy. 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake using full-depth reclamation, install a new Reduced Conflict Intersection at the Hwy. 10/Co. Rd. 23 intersection in Becker, extend turn lanes, repair underground pipes and other drainage infrastructure, and improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
When complete, the project will provide a smoother ride with a long-life pavement along 14 miles of eastbound Highway 10, enhance traffic flow and safety at the Hwy. 10/Co. Rd. 23 intersection, improve drainage along the corridor, and enhance pedestrian accessibility.
