2018 seniors from homeschool environment and private religious institutions may have graduated outside the high school complex and separate from their day-to-day friends but they all share a sameness among them.
They all successfully navigated the four years of higher education. They all gained new skills, talents and brain-power. And they all gained new friendships and are now on the cusp of entering colleges, trade schools and the workplace of modern societies.
Nathanael Nelson
Nelson is a baseball player for the Becker Bulldog baseball team. He also enjoys playing basketball, snowboarding, hunting and fishing.
Nelson plans to work as a flooring installer in his immediate future but hasn’t ruled out attending a technical college to learn another trade in the future.
Adair Friedman
Adair has been very active as a homeschooler, participating in Operation Christmas Child, volunteering for numerous events and activities and spending lots of time with her large family.
Friedman plans on attending Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji, doublemajoring in Biblical studies and business. Her goal is to work in a ministry organization someday.
Adair is the daughter of Steven and Christina Friedman of Becker.
Kayden Westin
Westin was a runner and participated on the track & field and cross country teams and was named captain for both. Her future plans include attending Winona State University.
Kayden is the daughter of Matt and Sarah Westin.
Ellie Murphy
Ellie was active in cross country and track & field and graduated with high honors from Jubilee Christian School. She plans to attend Anoka-Ramsey Community College to study business and has also accepted a position working at Murphy Window & Door.
Paul Schut
Paul also graduated from Jubilee Christian School and plans to find a job following graduation and follow God’s plan for his life, wherever that leads him. Paul hopes to move to the great state of Iowa someday.
Cade Staudinger
Cade is a graduate of St. Cloud Tech High School. He participated in hockey, lacrosse, skills USA-Engineering and was part of the National Honor Society.
Cade plans to attend St. John’s University in Collegeville in the fall. He is the son of Dan and Lisa Staudinger.
Dawson Weleski
Dawson is a Tech graduate and participated in cross country, wrestling, lacrosse and was a National AP scholar, a member of the Econ Club and a Kwik Trip employee.
Dawson plans on attedning the University of Minnesota to obtain a business marketing degree.
Dawson is the son of Paulette and Dustin Weleski.
Amy Lieser
Amy is a graduate from tech High School and was in choir and badminton. She plans on attending the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND this fall.
Amy is the daughter of James and Laura Lieser and they live in Clearwater.
