A group of area kids had a chance to get some hands-on experience in Holiday treat making last Saturday morning at “Cooking with Mrs. Claus” at the Becker Community Center. Each year as Santa and most of the elves are busy getting ready for their marathon Christmas Eve toy flight, Mrs. Claus makes a stop in town to share some of her kitchen magic with youngsters from around the area.
This year Santa could only spare one elf from North Pole duty to assist, but Becker “Santa’s Helpers” Anna Long and Bethany Stevens donned their Santa hats and pitched in to create the delicious treats the annual event is known for. They were joined by North Pole “chefs in training” Brodey B, Tyler O., Helena B., Aaron O., Morgan V. and Mason V. for the morning program.
