Lt. Commander Heather M. Hoglund has been promoted to Captain in the California Highway Patrol. 

Effective January 1, 2025, Hoglund will begin as Captain in the Moorpark, California office. Ironically, she was residing in Moorpark back in 2002 when she observed a poster for recruitment to CHP and decided this could be a career move for her. 

Hoglund, a 1984 graduate of Becker High School, became a Cadet with CHP, graduated to Officer, promoted to Sergeant, then on to Lt. Commander and most recently to Captain. She has served in San Jose, Central Los Angeles, West Valley, and most recently in Thousand Oaks. 

Heather is the daughter of Mary and Michael Gillham and Ronald and Kathleen Hoglund.
