God still performs miracles

Without God, Mary Jo Mosher and Lloyd Koenig’s recently released book “Jesus in the Room” wouldn’t exist.

It was God who offered healing to Koenig and it was God who called Koenig to ask Mosher to put his story on paper to glorify Him and save souls. Koenig knew that if people were given the opportunity to learn what God had done for him and his family, they might consider what God could do in their lives too.

The story, which took place in Becker, chronicles Koenig’s brush with death after having suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and how God miraculously gave him the choice to either join Him in heaven or stay on earth with his family.

Mosher writes, “Jesus stood in the corner of the hospital room, big as life, unseen by others who were in the room with Him but clearly visible to the patient who lay quietly in bed, eyes closed.  Lloyd could feel the love and compassion reflected in Jesus’ face as He stood quietly waiting for Lloyd to acknowledge Him.”

When Koenig finally acknowledged Jesus, Jesus asked him a question.

Again, Mosher writes, “’Would you like to come with me, or would you like to stay here with your family?’ Jesus’ words, though distant and kind were clear to Lloyd, but he wasn’t sure what they meant.  Perhaps because he didn’t know he had a choice.”

From the beginning, Koenig considered the stroke he suffered a blessing and what he could do if he stayed. The reader of “Jesus in the Room” quickly discovers that Koenig chose to stay so he could be a witness to the world about God’s care and concern for those who need Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. That’s the real purpose for sharing Jesus in the Room with others.
