Becker Furniture World has been sold and is now under the auspices of Furniture Mart.

The acquisition was announced Tuesday as Sioux Falls-based Furniture Mart USA has quickly grown by seven stores with the addition of the Minnesota furniture company.

Furniture Mart USA has acquired all seven Becker Furniture locations, plus the 120,000-square-foot distribution center in Becker.

Becker Furniture World, which has served Minnesota for more than 45 years, employs more than 100 people at its stores in Becker, Blaine, Burnsville, Maple Grove, Maplewood, Minnetonka and Woodbury along with its main distribution center in Becker.  Former owner Joel Huseby has joined the Furniture Mart USA leadership team and will assist in the transition for continued growth and continuity.

Furniture Mart USA ranked at #46 on Home News Now’s 125 Furniture & Bedding Retailers in 2023. Becker Furniture World ranked at # 108.

For the foreseeable future, Furniture Mart USA said the stores will keep the Becker Furniture name.

“Customers at all Becker, Ashley and Furniture Mart locations will continue to see the same familiar faces and great service,” Furniture Mart USA said in a statement. “Company representatives from both teams are working jointly to enhance the customer experience.”

With the acquisition, Furniture Mart USA now has Minnesota store locations in Albertville, Austin, Baxter, Becker, Blaine, Burnsville, Duluth, Eagan, Elk River, Fridley, Mankato, Maple Grove, Maplewood, Marshall, Medford, Minnetonka, North Branch, Redwood Falls, Rochester, Shakopee, St. Cloud and Woodbury. It also has 36 additional locations in Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
