Freedom Days packed with week-long fun!

Becker Freedom Days is right around the corner! Here is the schedule of events that commence Sun., June 12.

Sunday

The Becker Boy Scouts Troop 92 is hosting a BBQ Bash from 1-5 p.m. in the Becker Furniture World parking lot (13150 1st St., Becker.

Monday

St. Cloud Financial Credit Union will be featuring Ice Cream Floats from  noon until 2 p.m. 

The Great River Regional Library in Becker will host a hiking adventure program at City Park from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Tuesday

Steil Insurance (14054 Bank St., Becker) will feature Walking Tacos  from 11 a.m.  to 2 p.m.

Becker Area Senior Center (BASC) will host a BBQ chicken lunch with all the fixings at 11:30 a.m. (Location TBD), with music provided. This event is open to the public, and a free will offering will be accepted.

The Great River Regional Library in Becker will host Pint Size Polkas where Mike Schneider will play music and perform magic and comedy from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

The Sherburne History Center will hold an ice cream social from 6-8 p.m. at the history center. They will also host a Visual Arts Showcase during regular business hours all week long.

Wednesday

Sherburne State Bank hosts their annual Customer Appreciation Lunch and Ice Cream Social served from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the lawn at Sherburne State Bank.

American Family Insurance  – Amy Chmielewski will hold a free windshield chip repair day’ from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the parking lot of American Family Insurance.  This event is open to the public and a free will offering will go to Becker American Legion.

The Great River Regional Library in Becker will host a Kalpulli Dance Performance at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Becker High School from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Thursday

Area businesses (12390 Sherburne Ave.) will host a drive through lunch from 11 a.m. to  1 p.m. with proceeds going to Becker Lions Club.

The Great River Regional Library in Becker will host Funky Zentangle Shoes from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The City of Becker will host a Bubble Party at the Becker Splash pad from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Becker Community Center will host an Open House with free food, giveaways and prozes from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Friday

The Becker Farmer’s Market will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Becker Furniture World.   

The Becker Lions will feature live music from Saintrio from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Legion (Old Fire Hall). Hamburgers, and beverages will be available.

The Becker Blast Softball Tournament will take place at the BAC and Becker High School Complexes on Friday, June 17, Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19.

Saturday

All entertainment and activities will take place at the old Becker Fire Hall in the T-Town area of Becker.

The parade starts at 11 a.m.

Family Fun Fest goes from 12:30 p.m. to  4 p.m. and will feature games/inflatables, face painting, food & beverage vendors, Petting Zoo & Pony Rides, kids DJ, and much more!

The Becker Blast Softball Tournament will continue at the BAC and Becker High School Complexes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 20.

The Great River Regional Library in Becker will host TaikoArts Midwest from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Ave. and Hancock St.

The Becker Dance Team will have a performance at intersection of Central Ave. and Hancock St. which  begins after the parade around 12:10 p.m.

Members of the Starz Dance Studio will have a performance at intersection of Central Ave. and Hancock St. which  begins around 2:10 p.m.

Local fire departments will be having a water ball tournament. (Location and time TBD).

The Block Party starts at 6 p.m. and goes to 10 p.m. ~ featuring  Time Machine – a cover band playing a wide variety of high energy music from the 70’s, 80’s, and even 80’s Hair Bands! 

Fireworks begin at around 10 p.m. (presented by the Becker Lions Club).
