A crash between two vehicles on Hwy.10 near Becker late Monday night resulted in a fatality.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that just after 11:15 p.m., the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office was trying to stop the driver of a motorcycle for a traffic violation on eastbound Hwy. 10 when the driver crashed into an eastbound, 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup truck at 165th Avenue. The driver of the pickup truck was a 75-year-old male, Douglas Laramore of Minneapolis.

The name of the motorcycle driver who perished was Deke Alexander Ward Sibley, 18, of Big Lake.

Assisting at the scene were Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, Becker Police Department, Big Lake Police Department, Becker Fire Department and CentraCare Ambulance.
