Veterans from the Clear Lake and Clearwater American Legions gathered at the new Clear Lake Twp. Hall on Tuesday to dedicate the newly erected flagpole and American flag.

Veteran and Township Supervisor Bud Stimmler read a short dedication, after which he and fellow veteran Terrance Vander Eyk raised the United States and POW flags on the new flagpole for the first time.

With the color guard standing at attention, the dedication was then honored with a 21-gun salute.

Guests at the event included Clear Lake Twp. Chairman Gary Gray and Clear Lake Mayor Tim Goenner.
