Commander John Riebel began the ceremony, reading about the history of flag burning, Assisting were Chaplain Tim Hinds, Sgt. At Arms Bill Smith and 1st Vice Roger Bigalke. The Legion holds flag burning ceremonies regularly. Over 100 flags were disposed of Wednesday. Residents are asked to bring their flags to the Legion or to Becker True Value for proper disposal.
