Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker is excited to be hosting a first-ever community concert on the driving range Sat., July 30.
The concert will feature a Central Minnesota band called Outside Recess, who is a rock & roll cover band that plays a wide variety of high energy music from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today.
Outside Recess promises to get the party hopping with hits from bands like Journey, Poison, Green Day, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, John Mellencamp, STYX, Night Ranger, Prince, AC/DC, The Outfield, Train, Bryan Adams and many more.
The feature artist will be Chris Hawkey, who is a country artist who plays some cover songs and a lot of his own stuff. Hawkey is also a morning DJ personality on the ever-popular KFAN Radio morning show.
Pebble Creek’s “gates” will open at 6 p.m. with the music starting around 8 p.m.
Golf Pro and Manager Troy Malo has been working on the type of food and beverages to be sold and he envisions a beer trailer, a liquor tent, and some food tents serving burgers, brats, dogs, pulled pork and chicken and walking tacos for ones indulgence.
The event will be a 21 years-and-older event and tickets are available for purchase at the Becker Community Center, Becker City Hall, Pebble Creek Pro Shop and online for only $10 each. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
Malo says people need to bring their ID with proof of ones age to enter. He suggests people pack a lawn chair and if the weather looks wet — bring ones rain coat — because the show will go on rain or shine.
Sponsors are still needed for the event. Call the golf course for more information at 763-200-4268.
