Fall Parish Festival returns to St. Luke’s

Parishioners and guests were ready and excited for the return of St. Luke’s Catholic Church’s Fall Parish Festival, held at the end of August each year. Like nearly every other event in 2020, the Clearwater church had to put the festival on hold last year due to the pandemic.

This year’s annual event’s activities included a quilt auction, grand raffle, quilt raffle, Baskets From Heaven silent auction, country market, woodworking/craft booth, and a DJ providing music in the afternoon. Games were available for kids and adults, including the always popular bingo and cake walk.

An incredible 125+ baskets were created and donated by parishioners and local businesses for the festival’s Baskets From Heaven silent auction, and all the cakes for the cake walk were donated by the parishioners as well.

Guests also had a lot to choose from when they were ready for refreshments, including an indoor dinner, hamburger and hot dog stand, pork chops on a stick, beer stand, and various other food and beverage items.

Organizers of the event modified a couple of items from the traditional festival schedule but were happy to be able to include most of the regular activities.

“We are extremely happy that we were able to have our parish festival this year,” said St. Luke’s Business Administrator Sue Miller. “It’s a wonderful day to gather with family and friends.”

The church also extended the following thanks:

“The Church of St. Luke would like to extend our thanks to everyone who donated items for the festival as well as those who helped with and/or attended our 2021 parish festival. It takes so many people working together to make the festival a success. We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people from our community help with and attend the festival.”

As always, all money raised by the fundraiser will go toward the parish building fund.
