It was a beautiful weekend for the return of the Clearwater Rodeo and excitement was high as spectators of all ages packed the stands.
Presented by the Silver Bullet Saddle Club (SBSC), the 41st annual Clearwater Rodeo was held last weekend, with shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
During the MRA-TBRA Rodeo performances each day, the adult competitors wowed the crowds with bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, tie down roping, team roping, barrel racing, and bull riding.
Youngsters also had the chance to be part of the rodeo. Each performance included a mutton bust for kids ages 5-7 and a calf ribbon race for kids ages 6-12.
Dances followed the Friday and Saturday performances, with Radio Nation entertaining the crowds Friday and Drop Tailgate on Saturday. Saturday also featured a BBQ meal with all the trimmings.
Sunday was Kids’ Day and kicked off with a non-denominational cowboy church service at 10 a.m., followed by special fun and activities for kids 12 and under, including a petting zoo, free pony rides, games, and a chance to win a raffle drawing. Sunday’s rodeo performance began at 2 p.m.
SBSC expressed thanks and appreciation to this year’s rodeo sponsors, including main sponsors Bernatello’s Foods, Bernick’s Pepsi, Brickyard Bar & Grill, Bronson Electric, Bud Light, Clear Lake Lions, Clearwater American Legion, Clearwater Lions, Clearwater Parts City, Clearwater Travel Plaza, Erick Berscheid Trucking, Franklin Outdoor, Kwik Trip, LG Seeds, Mathison Motors, Newport Leasing Group, Northridge Express, Woodline Sawmills, The Boot Shack, T&R Meats, and 98.1 FM.
