Eight-year-old Bryce Roelike of Becker will be holding a special garage sale the weekend of June 26-28.
Bryce’s sale is called “Cancer Sucks: Relay for ‘Love’ Life” and is to honor his grandmother, his mom and his aunt who have all been affected by the disease.
Bryce’s aunt succumbed to the disease two years ago, his grandmother is a three-time survivor and his mother, Kelli, is also a cancer survivor.
Bryce explains that most people have someone in their life who has had cancer or is fighting it today and his goal is to raise money to help fight the plague that transforms so many lives.
At Bryce’s garage sale, he will be selling kid pools, a slip-n-slide, pallet planters, toys, tables, clothes, kitchen items and many other miscellaneous items. There will also be baked goods for sale.
The sale will run Friday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to “whenever” the days of June 26, 27 and 28.
Bryce — who has three other brothers — hopes the sale is successful so he can further play a role in fighting cancer.
“Hopefully we’ll do it again next year,” he said.
Bryce Roelike is the son of Tim and Kelli Martin and the Martin home is located at 14305 Morning Dove Drive, Becker.
