Last week, the businesses in the Becker Professional Building hosted a drive-up barbecue to raise funds for the Dylan’s Hope Foundation. 

 

The event took place Thurs., June 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and had a goal of raising at least $500 for the local nonprofit. 

 

The businesses set up an impromptu dining room in the building’s parking lot and served more than 120 people. The total amount raised was a record-breaking $637, this event’s best-ever result.

 

“I'm so proud to have such fantastic people on our team and to work in such a generous community,” says Matt Good, chief operating officer for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate All Seasons. 

 

Good helped man the grill at the event. 

 

“We can’t wait to do this again next year," he said.

 

The participating businesses included Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate All Seasons, Troy Robinson Agency, Insight Eye Care, Nick’s Tree & Landscape, and D&V Enterprises. 

 

A representative for the Dylan’s Hope Foundation was also on site, serving hot dogs and hamburgers alongside the rest of the crew.

 

At last year’s event, $358.50 was raised for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
