The third annual Explore Clearwater/Clear Lake Business Expo is just around the corner, with 28 local businesses already signed up to showcase what they have to offer. Everyone in the surrounding communities and beyond are encouraged to come out and be part of the excitement Sunday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clearwater American Legion.
The event is organized by Clear Valley Business Connections (CVBC) to promote shopping locally and to give area residents the opportunity to meet and get to know local business owners and everything they have to offer.
“We hope people come meet our local business owners and see what Clearwater and Clear Lake have to offer for business opportunities,” said CVBC President Lori Johnson. “Shopping local keeps jobs, taxes and money in our towns, rather than spending it online or at national big box stores. Local businesses also help support area schools, charities and other philanthropic needs.”
The Explore Clearwater/Clear Lake Business Expo will feature freebies, raffles and prizes, and businesses will be promoting themselves and any positions they may be hiring for. A representative from CVBC will also be in attendance for anyone with questions on the organization.
Included in the numerous raffles and prizes are a custom-made log bank filled with cash from American Heritage Bank and a birdhouse from Edina Realty.
To date, the following businesses have signed up to participate in the event with information, giveaways and raffles; American Heritage Bank, Becker Spine, Clear Waters Outfitting, Clearwater American Legion, Clearwater Family Chiropractic, Clearview Eye Clinic, Clearwater Public Library, Clearwater Tax and Accounting Service, LLC, Clearwater Tire and Auto, Coborn’s Pharmacy, Cutting Edge Catering/Clearwater Travel Plaza, Driftwood Golf and Fitness, Edina Realty, Franklin Outdoor Advertising, Irrigation Management, Johnson Materials, Inc., Lake Central Bank/Insurance, Lightbody, Mary Kay, McDonald’s Meats, Minnesota Wearables, NovaCare Rehabilitation, Purple Prairie Botanicals, St. Cloud/Clearwater RV Park, Sunset Ridge Ranch, Studio 4:44, T&R Meats Processing, Tri-County Alliance Church.
There’s still time for interested businesses to sign up. Tables are free for CVBC members; nonmembers can purchase a table for $50, which also covers an annual membership to the organization.
The Clearwater Legion will be hosting a made-to-order omelet breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon the day of the expo, so attendees are encouraged to support both events.
