The Clearwater Town Board took care of all its bookkeeping business at its first meeting of 2019.
Supervisor Bill Langenbacher is the new chair of the Clearwater Township Board. He was voted in at the organizational meeting Jan. 14. Supervisor Scott Miller was the previous chair.
Supervisor Rose Thelen was voted in as vice chair.
There weren’t many changes in regards to monetary allowances and wages.
The meeting allowance for supervisors remains at $60 for the first four hours, plus $15 per hour for each additional hour.
The board chair’s wages remain at $150 per month; supervisor wages remain at $125 per month.
The treasurer’s meeting allowance stays at $60 per meeting and the wages remain at $900 per year. Miller seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The clerk’s wages increased to from $21.50 to $22 per hour. The monthly stipend stays at $200.
Wages for the deputy clerk and deputy treasurer remain at $19.30 per hour.
The maintenance supervisor’s wages stay at $35.35 per hour.
PERA will be paid to any part-time worker who makes over $5,000 a year per PERA guidelines.
The town hall maintenance worker’s pay stays at $19.30 per hour.
Election judges will continue to get $15 per hour and the head election judge will receive $20 per hour.
The mileage rate for persons using their own vehicle for township business will remain at the current IRS rate.
Rental of equipment or supervisors time allocated to other townships or cities will follow the same guidelines as drawn up on the Mutual Aid Agreement. The law firm of Couri, MacArthur, Ruppe has been retained for township business as needed.
The schedule for the board’s regular meetings, alternate day, and annual meeting were set. Monthly meetings will continue on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
In case of a holiday or weather, the meeting will be held on the third Monday of the month.
The time and place for the annual meeting is March 12, 2019 at the Clearwater Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather the meeting will be held one week later.
All legal notices will be published in the Citizen Tribune, and notices will be posted at Clearwater Town Hall and township website.
The township accounts remain with Lake Central Bank (Annandale State Bank).
Because of a scheduling conflict and President’s Day, the next monthly meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
