Family, friends and the Clear Lake and surrounding community came out to show their support of the Scherber family Sunday at Goenner Park in Clear Lake.
The Tim Scherber benefit was held to help the family with medical and other expenses created by the devastating accident Tim Scherber suffered this past spring.
On June 17 Scherber was taking a tree down in his yard when he fell, breaking his neck and shattering his back, causing permanent paralysis. After multiple surgeries to deal with these and other injuries, he is currently in acute rehab at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Scherber is expected to return home in October, however he will need additional therapy for up to three years.
Sunday’s benefit included a pulled pork dinner, silent auction and raffle.
