CLFD hosts Open House

A nice crowd was on hand last Saturday at the Clear lake Fire Hall for the Clear Lake Fire Department’s annual open house.
The event is usually held the beginning of October and timed to highlight the beginning of Fire Safety Week with a goal of providing fire prevention awareness. Demonstrations on CPR and the Lucas chest compression system were given at the open house.
Clear Lake Firefighters were on hand for a variety of activities. The open house offered free food, fire truck rides, games, free raffle drawings and more. Giveaways included an electric scooter, hoverboard and other items.
