The end of July means it is time for the annual Clear Lake Fire Dept. dance.
For nearly 40 years the dance has been a much-anticipated and appreciated community event at the Clear Lake Fire Hall. This year’s event is Saturday, (July 26) from 4 p.m. to midnight.
The event is open to all people of all ages and will feature a kiddie carnival, games and fun activities for kids, food and beverages, door prizes and music by Diamond Back from 8 p.m. to midnight.
And of course, a spectacular fireworks show will start at dusk.
Entrance to the festivities is free to the public and the food and beverages (including alcohol) will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to benefit the Clear Lake Firefighters Relief Association.
The Clear Lake Fire Dept. — made up of volunteers, provides fire and rescue coverage for Clear Lake city and township and Palmer Twp. and aids other local departments such as Becker, Big Lake and St. Cloud.
