The Clearwater Travel Plaza was even busier than usual earlier in July, as they hosted their annual Party on the Patio Customer and Employee Appreciation event.

As it has over the years, the party kicked off with the Clearwater Legion Riders escorting the Plaza’s honored guests, including veterans from the St. Cloud VA. Upon arrival, area veterans joined them in being recognized and escorted down the red carpet, flanked by members of the Legion Color Guard.

From there the party took off with games, VA raffle fundraiser, music, and a photo booth. Employee recognition awards were given out at 5 p.m.

As always, the biggest draw was the free food and beverages generously provided by the Plaza. Attendees filled their plates with burgers and brats, chips and cookies. A cash bar was available for those looking for something stronger than pop or water.

Clearwater Travel Plaza hosts their Party on the Patio event each year to honor veterans and thank their customers and outstanding employees. All proceeds from the annual event benefit the St. Cloud VA Hospital recreational activities. 

The Travel Plaza also took home some 2025 ‘Minnesota’s Best’ awards recently, with a gold for their caramel/cinnamon rolls and a bronze for both their breakfasts and donuts.
