Christmas is a busy time with lots going on and the Clearwater area is no different. Christmas cheer has been in abundance as a number of organizations held their annual Christmas events recently.
Rejoice Lutheran Church started things out with their annual European Christmas Coffee and Bake Sale. Served by Sunday School children dressed in their holiday finest, guests were treated to Scandinavian and Christmas cookies, candies and hors d’oeuvres, as well as flavored coffees, teas and lemonade.
Attendees could also purchase a variety of handmade crafts and homemade holiday goodies, including breads, lefse, rosettes, krumkake, cookies, and candies donated by members of the congregation. Vendors were also in attendance this year as well, offering attendees even more gift options.
Later that day the Clearwater Legion Auxiliary held their Kids Christmas party with Santa and local businesses took part in Toys for Tots.
The Clearwater Legion Riders continued the festivities the next day, as the Legion held their popular made to order breakfast and hosted Clearwater Christmas Central, one of their annual fundraisers to help support veterans. The craft and vendor sale featured a large variety of gift ideas from local crafters and vendors.
Last Saturday The Church of St. Luke’s was filled with fun and goodies during their annual Cookie Stroll and Craft Sale. Tables were lined with homemade holiday goodies galore, from gingerbread cookies to decadent candies.
Along with all the goodies, guests could purchase handmade crafts and gift items and relax with rolls and coffee. All items were donated by members of the congregation.
Although those events are over, there is still time to find special gifts for friends and family at Clearwater’s local businesses.
