Clearwater Lions Host Senior Luncheon

Over 70 area residents gathered together at the Lions Building in Clearwater last Saturday to visit, play bingo and enjoy a meal.

The occasion was the Clearwater Lions’ annual Senior Luncheon, one of the many community activities club volunteers organize and take part in throughout the year.

Doors opened at 11:30 a.m. for seniors to come in early and visit with their friends and neighbors. Lunch, catered by Just North of Memphis, was served at noon. Guests enjoyed chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a delicious bread pudding.

Bingo began after the meal, with participants playing for cash prizes, the largest of which was awarded to the winner of the final game, blackout.

In between rounds of bingo, drawings were held for the beautiful potted plants that graced the tables.

The entire event was paid for by the Clearwater Lions, who host the luncheon every year to honor area seniors. All are welcome.
