The Clearwater Public Library begins a preschool story time series titled “Fall Into Storytime” Tues., Oct. 6 from 11-11:30 a.m. The program focuses on Every Child Ready to Read literacy goals, based on the five simple practices of singing, playing, talking, writing and reading. It will also be offered on Oct. 13, 20 and 27.
Adults and teens with an interest in digital photography are invited to a discussion program titled “Digital Photography with Ken” the library on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 6:30-8 p.m. Instructor Ken Bachofer will show people how to get outstanding results with their cameras. No experience is necessary, but people are encouraged to bring their camera to the program.
The library Writers Group for adults will meet on Thurs., Oct. 8 from 10-11 a.m. Local author Linda Marie will facilitate the group to inspire the recording of life stories. Writing experience is not required. Preregistration is requested.
The library will have a graduation ceremony for its “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” program on Sat., Oct. 10, beginning at 11 a.m. This is for the young readers that have reached the goal of reading 1,000 books. Preschoolers may join this program any day of the year. It is supported with High $5 funds and sponsored by Clearwater Area Friends of the Library.
