Clearwater Legion holds 65th annual Fish Fry last weekend

The Clearwater Legion was bursting at the seams last Sunday as over 500 people came by to enjoy the area’s first all-you-can-eat fish fry of the season and admire the newly renovated facility.

Along with the 400 pounds of fish that were fried to perfection, guests filled their plates with baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, buns, and of course, tartar sauce.

Keeping things lively, other activities took place throughout the event, including a silent auction that kicked off at 11 a.m. and a live auction that began at 4 p.m. Meat raffles and prize drawings throughout the day added to the revelry.

Corporate sponsors of the event were American Heritage Bank, Kwik Trip, and State Farm Insurance – Dave Nelson.

The fish fry is one of Clearwater Legion’s annual fundraisers, and the only one that supports the Legion by adding to the general fund to pay operating costs.
